Tomo is your focus friend. It turns the proven Pomodoro Technique into a calm, beautiful timer you can install on any device and use offline. Here is everything you need to start your first session.
1. Pick one thing to focus on
Before you press Start, decide on a single task. Not your whole to-do list — one concrete thing you can make progress on in 25 minutes. Clarity is half the battle; a focused timer can only protect a focused intention.
2. Press Start and protect the 25 minutes
Hit Start and commit. For the next 25 minutes, that one task is the only thing that exists. If a distraction pops into your head, jot it on a notepad and return to the work — don't act on it. The ring around the timer fills as you go so you always know where you stand.
3. Set your vibe with Focus Sounds
Open the sound panel and choose what helps you concentrate: rain on the roof, dreamy lofi beats, calm piano, or warm ambient tracks. Turn on "Auto-play during focus" and Tomo starts your sounds when you focus and pauses them on breaks.
4. Take the break — really
When the chime sounds, your focus block is done. Tomo automatically switches you to a 5-minute break. Stand up, stretch, look out a window, breathe. The break isn't a reward you can skip — it's what makes the next sprint possible.
5. Make it yours
Open Settings to tune the focus and break lengths, choose how often a long break appears, enable auto-start to flow between sessions, or switch on the ticking clock for that classic Pomodoro feel. Then install Tomo to your home screen and it's always one tap away.
“Four focused sprints with real breaks will out-produce a whole afternoon of half-attention. Start with one.”
